4. Creed of the Holy

National Spiritual Hymn

The Church creed or belief as a HOLY NATION is based on the Holy Scriptures, which says:

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a HOLY NATION, a people belonging to GOD, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light. Once you were not a people (nation), but now you are the people of GOD; once you have not received mercy, but now you have received mercy" (1 Peter 2:9-10 NIV).
The above passages were translated into a national spiritual hymn entitled PSALM OF ZION with the following lyrics:

PSALM OF ZION
(1 Peter 2:9-10)

A CHOSEN GENERATION
MOST HOLY NATION
PECULIAR PEOPLE
BELONGS TO GOD MOST HIGH
WONDERFUL HOLY CITY OF SALVATION
JESUS CHRIST OUR ETERNAL KING

OH, MY BELOVED CHURCH
GRACE AND MERCY HAVE COME BY
ONCE MORE FOUNDED IN, THE EAST AFAR
MADE COMPLETE AND HOLY NATION
TO DECLARE PRAISES OF HIM
THE GREATEST TRUTH OF THEM ALL
